Last Monday, Dec. 14, the Office Manager in the Mukalla hub, Ms. Maria De Sogo, watched the FFA project progress in Burum Mayfa district, implemented by the BCHR.
Ms. Maria viewed the level of achievement in rehabilitating community assets, such as protecting agricultural lands from erosion, rehabilitating the saltern for sea salt production, and rehabilitating irrigation canals. She praised the interventions that meet the needs of the local population.
Ms. Maria listened to the impressions of the local authority and a number of beneficiaries about the project.
During her visit, Ms. Maria was accompanied by the the Agriculture Office Manager of the district, Ali Baamer, the Senior Assistant of the WFP Office of Mukalla hub, Mr. Abdurrahman Baslama, the Office MDE Assistant, Raghed Al-Kuwaili, the BCHR Projects Manager, Eng. Saleh Bamakhshab, and the project team in the district.
In the second phase, the FFA project targets 5,000 beneficiaries in 6 districts in Hadramout Governorate, including 800 beneficiaries in Burum Mayfa'a District.
