Background
BCHR is a non-profit and non-governmental organization aiming to provide health, nutrition, food security and protection services as a humanitarian response to the escalating socio-economic situation in Yemen since 2015.
Under the supervision of the Project Manager, the District coordinator will be responsible for Developing rapport and leverage with District Administration for project deliverables. Advocate project activities to District level authority.
Represent the project and achievements at district-level networks and govt. meetings. Documentation management. Facilitate project-related assessment, monitoring/quality assurance, donor visits, audit visits, and governmental officials visits. Maintain coordination and engagement with the community and oversee the project implementation.
Essential Tasks:
Districts Coordinator will be under the supervision of the field food security officer , District coordinator will be responsible for Developing rapport and leverage with District Administration for project deliverables. Advocate project activities to District level authority.
Represent the project and achievements at district level networks and govt. meetings. Documentation management. Facilitate project related assessment, monitoring/quality assurance, donor visits, audit visits and governmental officials visits. Maintain coordination and engagement with the community and oversee the project implementation.
1. Preparing the operational plans for the project and following up their implementation in its district.
2. Contribute to the selection of activities in cooperation with the local authority and community committees.
3. Registration of beneficiaries and verifying the validity of information in cooperation with the local authority, community committees, and follow-up and evaluation specialists
4. Planning project activities appropriately according to need in cooperation with the local authority and community committees.
5. Carry out regular field visits to work sites to follow up on implementation and completion.
6. Submit weekly and monthly reports according to the approved forms for project management.
7. Responsible for communication between the project management in his directorate and the management of the coalition
8. Solve any problems encountered in the project's work
9. Follow up on financial and administrative procedures with the coalition
10. Any tasks assigned to him within his competence.
Qualifications and skills:
• Bachelor's/Diplona degree in management or a related field.
• At least 2 years’ professional experience in a comparable position.
• Strong experience in coordinating and planning of Project activities.
• Strong team leadership and technical expertise are critical.
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities, deadlines, tasks efficiently.
• Demonstrates excellence in both oral and written communications.
• Good working knowledge of computer applications (e.g., MS Office and Excel).
• Flexible to work under pressure and remote areas
