Engineer Fahmi bin Mansour, CEO at BCHR, participated in the "Yemen: The Forgotten Crisis" symposium held in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.
The symposium, organized by MAPIM in collaboration with the Institute of Advanced Islamic Studies (IAIS) in Malaysia, highlighted the challenges facing Yemen and explored possible solutions to alleviate the suffering of those crisis-affected people.
The symposium participants included Dr. Adel BaHamid, Ambassador of the Republic of Yemen to Malaysia, Dr. Mohamed Haj, President of Pure Hands, and Dr. Dawood Abdul Hamid, Professor of Education at the International Islamic University Malaysia. The symposium was enriched by numerous discussions on collective action to address the humanitarian crisis in Yemen and support relief efforts.
During his participation, Engineer Bin Mansour emphasized the need to strengthen international humanitarian efforts to provide urgent support to the Yemeni people, who are suffering from deteriorating humanitarian conditions due to the ongoing conflict. He stressed the importance of coordinating efforts among humanitarian organizations to ensure that assistance reaches those in need effectively.
The symposium is a part of ongoing efforts to raise awareness about the humanitarian crisis in Yemen, which is considered one of the largest humanitarian crises in the world. Finally, Participants looked forward to enhancing international cooperation to support Yemen and find sustainable solutions to its humanitarian crisis.
