Background
BCHR is a leading national non-governmental humanitarian agency with a global mission to alleviate suffering, poverty and oppression by helping people build secure, productive and just communities. BCHR is a non-profit and non-governmental organization aiming to provide health, nutrition, food security and protection services as a humanitarian response to the escalating socio-economic situation in Yemen since 2015.
Responsibilities
• Project Administration:
o Assist the district coordinator with planning, organizing, and scheduling meetings, workshops, and field visits.
o Maintain Project documents, files, and reports.
o Prepare presentations and briefing materials for the coordinator .
o Liaise with government officials, partner organizations, and beneficiaries.
o Manage Project budget and expenditures.
• Logistical Support:
o Arrange travel/field visits and accommodation for the district coordinator and visiting guests.
o Coordinate logistics for field visits and project implementation.
Other Duties:
• Contribute in the planning, implementing and monitoring of the activities of the project in coordination with the dsitrict coordinator.
• Assist in the process of coordinating with local authority and community leaders in the targeted areas.
• Participate in the design of the monthly distribution plans in the respective locations, as well as conduct field visits to the project cites during the distribution of ration.
• Conduct regular field visits to project sites to provide technical oversights and assist the food security manager to identify issues that need timely action and support at different levels.
• Submit monthly reports and collect reports from the field teams.
o Perform any other tasks assigned by the project Manager that contribute to the successful implementation of the project.
Qualifications and Skills
• Bachelor's/Diploma degree in a relevant field (e.g., development studies, humanitarian affairs, project management).
• Minimum 2 years of experience working in a humanitarian or development context.
• Proven experience in Project administration, logistics, and communication.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in Arabic and preferred in English as well.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Cultural sensitivity and understanding of the Area context.
• Experience working with vulnerable populations is a strong asset.
Working Conditions
• Based in, Mareb, Yemen.
• Flexible working hours, including evenings and weekends, may be required.
