BCHR is a non-profit and non-governmental organization aiming to provide health, nutrition, food security and protection services as a humanitarian response to the escalating socio-economic situation in Yemen since 2015.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Ensure timely and accurate reporting against the monthly performance indicators for the project, supporting the project manager to run review meetings and compile/ follow up on action points.
• Promote accountability to beneficiaries by conducting accountability assessments and supporting program staff to develop information sharing materials.
• Set up complaints, feedback and response mechanism to ensure that the community has a chance to give feedback to the organization and partners about the project.
• Develop output and outcome level data collection tools (as per project MEAL plans),
• Carry out field visits to assess project performance in line with the targets, work plans and facilitate in order to ensure cost effectiveness and efficiency in the implementation of the project.
• Establish and support the implementation of a data management system to inform planning, implementation, monitoring and evaluation.
• Ensure all project staff and staff of implementing partners understand the project log frame, indicators and targets.
• Assist in designing, implementing and analyzing all types of surveys including SMART surveys, baseline studies and evaluations for all projects.
• Carry out monitoring activities for the project , building on routine project monitoring to introduce quality and outcome monitoring.
• Support documentation of project periodic reporting & assist in coordination with stakeholders and other implementing partners.
• Contribute to reporting and proofreading/compiling of other reports by the implementing partners.
• To review and revise all of the reports sent from the field and to ensure all of the figures collected matches the targets outlined in the proposal.
• Track the project process by which the intended outputs are being produced to fulfil the purpose of the project.
• Assist in the development of case studies/success stories and other communication items.
• Identify and document lessons learned/best practices including critical success factors and opportunities for improvement.
• Any other tasks as requested by the line management.
• As needed, translation of any necessary documents for the field team.
QUALIFICATION, EXPERIENCE & TECHNICAL COMPETENCIES
• A Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in relevant field such as Public Administration, Statistics, Information Technology, Sociology, Community and Rural Development, Business Administration, Public Relations and MEAL other courses on social research preferable with a focus on monitoring and evaluation as well as compliance issues).
• At least a minimum of three (03) years previous MEAL relevant experience in designing and implementation of MEAL systems .
• Computer literate with experience in the following computer packages; MS word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, MS Access, Emailing and networking, internet and Publisher and data management software
• Experience working with International NGO’s.
• Demonstrated ability and understanding to design, commission, and manage assessment methodologies and techniques such as focus group discussions, key informant interviews, observations to name a few.
• Familiarity with project cycle management
• Experience in quantitative and qualitative data collection and data analysis
Enthusiasm, motivation, self-confidence, and a proactive approach to problem solving
• Experience in participatory assessment and community-based monitoring approaches
• Experience with convening and facilitating trainings and workshops
• Excellent analytical and report writing skills (English)
• Excellent interpersonal skills and can work as part of a team
• Demonstrated ability in community mobilisation and community-level dialogue
• Strong skills in excel and other data management software
• Excellent communication skills
