Job Summary:

The HGSF Project Officer will oversee the implementation of the Homegrown School Feeding project in Tarim, ensuring that project activities are executed effectively and efficiently.

MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Manage the project's implementation following the proposal, donor agreement, and BCHR's policies and guidelines. Ensure the project is implemented to a high quality, on time, and against agreed work plans. Achieve desired results.
• Ensure accurate delivery of the definition of project scope and objectives to related project actors and ensure technical feasibility.
• Ensure resource availability and allocation for smooth and timely implementation of activities within budget and scope.
• Develop and manage project plans with the MEAL department and with appropriate monitoring tools and strategies to monitor the progress, quality, and impact of the project and its implementation.
• Perform risk management to minimize project risks, proactively create urgent solutions and contingency plans for problems that may affect work progress, and keep project implementation on track.
• Undertake to prepare and submit accurate, informative, and quality monthly and quarterly reports and work plans as scheduled following the donor’s regulations and requirements.
• Maintain and foster good relationships and strong external and internal representation with other national NGOs and local authorities
• Collaborate with the finance, programs, and logistics teams to ensure that the project is effectively monitored against approved outputs and budget and ensure the preparation and regular updating of activity plans and the project budget.
• Perform any other tasks as assigned by Team Leader or Senior Management.

COMPETENCIES:

QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS:
• A university degree in a relevant field (e.g., education, social sciences).
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in project management, preferably in education or food security.
• Proficiency in English and Arabic (written and spoken).
• Strong organizational and communication skills.
