Benevolence Coalition for Humanitarian Relief (BCHR) organized a training course entitled “Leveraging Artificial Intelligence to Enhance the Efficiency of Humanitarian and Institutional Work,”. The training is a part of the organization's efforts to strengthen the capacities of the staff and promote the use of modern technologies across various areas of humanitarian and institutional work.
The training covered a range of topics related to the use of AI tools, from prompt engineering and building professional context to hands-on training on a number of AI tools, including ChatGPT, Gemini, Manus, and others, for organizing and analyzing data, preparing reports, and developing web pages.
The training also included practical applications and real-world case studies. It also included an introduction to approaches for developing AI assistants and applying them across various institutional functions, such as financial management, logistics, human resources, monitoring and evaluation, and communications.
Besides, a key session was dedicated to drafting an internal AI ethics and usage policy. The session focused on protecting beneficiary data in addition to ensuring the responsible and secure use of emerging technologies.
The training aims to enhance staff capacities in using AI tools and technologies, improve institutional and humanitarian performance, and strengthen approaches to data management, analysis, and reporting, thereby contributing to improved quality of work and more effective responses to humanitarian needs.
The training was supported by FCDO and implemented in partnership with CARE in Yemen.
