The BCHR launched the Emergency Support project for Agricultural Livelihoods for families suffering from acute food insecurity in the districts of Juhaf and Al-Shuaib, Al-Dhalea Governorate, funded by the Japanese People through the Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO).
The project includes rehabilitating 53 assets, including rehabilitation of agricultural terraces that collapsed by floods, construction and rehabilitation of water tanks, rehabilitation of water control gates for agricultural lands and protectors for agricultural lands from erosion.
The project, which will be implemented within 7 months, will benefit 1283 members of the most vulnerable families, affected farmers and low-income people, through the cash-for-work mechanism.
The project manager, Engineer Rabie Badaam, the planning officer at the BCHR, Eng. Ahmed bin Hamel, the project coordinator in the governorate, Wejdan Al-Hemyri, and the M&E officer, Omar Ali, inspected the progress of the project, listening to the comments of the beneficiaries and the notables of the beneficiary areas about the project.
