This Tuesday, April 6, 2021,the Executive Director of the BCHR, Eng. Fahmi bin Mansour, met the resident Representative of the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO) in Yemen, Dr. Hussein Jadin, in Aden.
Bin Mansour discussed, with Dr. Jadin, strengthening the partnership and cooperation between the BCHR and the FAO in various fields, foremost of which is the agricultural sector.
Bin Mansour outlined the volume of the challenges facing farmers due to cyclones and torrents in the southern and eastern governorates, looking forward to more cooperation to reduce the effects of disasters on the agricultural sector.
For his part, Jadin praised the partnership between FAO and the BCHR in implementing Enhance Resilience project in Hajar district, Hadramout governorate, and the Agricultural Livelihood Emergency Support project in Al Dhale'e governorate, noting the positive impact of the two projects on farmers affected by war and natural disasters.
The BCHR honored the FAO with the Partnership Shield, in appreciation and gratitude for their efforts and cooperation, which resulted in sustainable projects in the fields of agriculture and water.
The meeting was attended by the resident Assistant Representative of the FAO, Dr. Muhammad Salam, the water and natural resources consultant of the organization, Eng. Saad Al-Hawsli, the water and agriculture consultant of the organization, Eng. Wael Al-Darwish. From the BCHR, there were the planning officer, Eng. Ahmed bin Hamel, and the Director of the Enhance Resilience project, Eng. Rabie Badaam.
