This Sunday in Hairan, the Governor of Hajjah, Major General Abdul Karim Al-Sunani, launched Back to School project, funded by K.S.Relief through the implementing partner, BCHR, in coordination with the Ministry of Education.
The project includes "alternative classrooms with all their equipment, school bag and curriculum, in addition to school supplies with means of prevention against COVID-19."
The project aims to improve the safe and regular educational process, and contribute to eliminating the problem of school dropout at the primary stage of education.
During the inauguration of the program, Governor Al-Sunaini praised these projects, which reflect the interest and role of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in alleviating the suffering and tragedy of the IDPs and the host community, noting that “more than 4,165 students in the liberated districts of Hajjah Governorate used to study under trees and in dilapidated huts and tents, but they have now moved to a stimulating learning environment."
Al-Sunaini praised the fruitful efforts of K.S.Relief in the education sector by providing an appropriate environment for all students in Hajjah Governorate.
For his part, the Office Director of the Ministry of Education of Hairan District, Muhammad Awam, explained that the project includes building 32 classrooms in addition to distributing the curriculum and school uniforms, which will contribute to improving educational outcomes.
The project officer in Hajjah Governorate, Anas Al-Arqabi, indicated that the project targets more than 4,165 students in all liberated districts of Hajjah Governorate. He reiterated his thanks to K.S.Relief, to the local authority represented by the Governor of Hajjah, and to the Ministry of Education represented by its Minister, Mr. Tariq Al-Akbari.
